One of the CVS's goals is to bring together individuals from multiple academic disceplines as well as interest diversities who're interested in pursuing research in the visual sciences.
Student Research Opportunities
Encouraging and fostering student research is a core effort of the CVS, made possible in large part by NEI training grant funding. Students are encouraged to work closely with faculty on vision science projects.
CVS faculty members in the UCDMC Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science have ongoing clinical trials and encourage eligable individuals to participate.
Faculty collaboration is highly encouraged by the CVS, in particular that between investigators of differing specialties to bring strong ideas together for tackling NEI vision research initiatives.
Besides Faculty, Staff, and Postdoctoral positions offered, the CVS also offers a variety of part-time and full-time assistant jobs and internships for undergraduates of the University of California at Davis, as well as other individuals associated with the CVS and affiliated institutions.
