About

Welcome to the UC Davis Center for Visual Sciences. The Center for Visual Sciences (CVS) is a virtual central resource at the University of California at Davis, focused on boosting collaboration in and funding of research in the visual sciences. Our research spans both the clinical and basic sciences, with research interests ranging from molecular genetics to human visual perception, with goals that are aligned with those of the National Eye Institute's initiatives for vision research (link). The center is located in beautiful northern California, a short drive from wine country, Lake Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay Area.

History

The Center for Visual Sciences was officially formed in 2007 after several years of existing as the Vision Science Research Group, stemming from a UC Davis initiative to centralize research focuses into "centers".
